Participate in Design (P!D) is a registered non-profit design, planning and educational organisation that helps neighbourhoods and public institutions in Singapore design community-owned spaces and solutions. We research, test and develop socially just and inclusive methods of design that are appropriate for our local neighbourhoods, while promoting the integration of participatory design in design education and practice.
As a volunteer, I've helped notetake and facilitate workshops for P!D. Specific projects I helped on include:
- Notetaking for a virtual engagement session (conducted on Miro) to design a new integrated wayfinding system to support walking as a mode of daily transport while also supporting pedestrian navigation in Singapore's urban landscape.
- Collaborative prototyping of a game-based Participatory Budgeting toolkit, to help equip people under the age of 35 learn how to manage grant funds for community projects

- Facilitating a "pop-up ideas market" in person to generate ideas from residents of a neighbourhood on which community amenities (e.g. gardens and bicycle paths) to upgrade or build
