Summary:

Client was trying to improve access to quality arts programmes in schools through a web portal that connects artists to teachers, which impacts 250,000+ students annually. However, users complained that it was difficult to use the portal to find suitable programmes, and the client's staff were struggling to vet the artists efficiently.

Our research aimed at understanding the various needs and usage patterns of the four distinct user groups that used the portal. This research allowed us to generate insights that informed design concepts for the newly re-designed portal. We then prototyped the new portal, and I led planning and execution of usability testing to further refine this prototype.
